This delicate fresh vegetable is enjoyed boiled or steamed as a meal with a Hollandaise sauce, Mayonnaise, Butter, Lemon or Vinaigrette. Can be served with Ham, Potatoes, added to a salad, made as a soup, a casserole and as a side vegetable. Or as a cold or hot dish.
1 Pound gives you about 4 to 5 asparagus as they are so thick.
First you need to peel them from the head to the bottom. Cut the stalk to remove the fibrous, bitter part.
Steam, boil or grill. Once cooked they are silky smooth, like butter, melting in your mouth
