California Proposition 65 Notice
California Proposition 65, officially known as the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, is a California law that requires businesses to provide warnings about potential exposure to certain chemicals.
These chemicals may be present in everyday products, including foods, and are identified by the State of California as substances that may cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm.
Why am I seeing this warning?
Some products sold on our website may contain trace amounts of naturally occurring elements, such as Lead or Cadmium.
These substances can be found in the environment (soil, water, and ocean ecosystems) and may be present in certain foods, particularly seafood, chocolate, and agricultural products.
Even when these levels are very low and commonly found in foods worldwide, California law requires a warning if exposure could exceed very conservative thresholds.
