Porcini Mushroom Steak
Ingredients:

2 boneless ribeye or sirloin steaks

1 cup fresh Porcini mushrooms, cleaned and sliced

2 tablespoons butter

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves

Salt and black pepper to taste

Olive oil for cooking
For the Mushroom Sauce:

1/2 cup heavy cream

1/4 cup beef or vegetable broth

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

Season the steaks with salt and black pepper on both sides.

Heat a cast-iron skillet or oven-safe pan over high heat. Add a drizzle of olive oil.

Once the skillet is hot, sear the steaks for about 2-3 minutes on each side to develop a nice crust.

Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and continue cooking the steaks for 5-7 minutes for medium-rare, or adjust cooking time according to your preference.

While the steaks are in the oven, heat another skillet over medium heat.

Add the butter and sliced Porcini mushrooms. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until the mushrooms are cooked and slightly golden.

Add the minced garlic and fresh thyme leaves to the mushrooms. Sauté for an additional 1-2 minutes.

Pour in the heavy cream and beef or vegetable broth. Stir and let the sauce simmer for a few minutes until it thickens slightly. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
