Diane Roederer's Passion

The excitement of my work is the constant global hunt for the best sources of unique and spectacular food items. I work directly with growers and purveyors in four continents and take special pride in delivering to a chef’s kitchen, a selection of perfect truffles that were in the ground halfway across the globe just a few days earlier.
Every item I offer, whether it be caviar, mushrooms or truffles, it represents not only the culmination of my hunt for the best possible sources but an important ongoing relationship with a person who knows his or her product intimately and shares my commitment to providing only the best. More than Just a Logo

The logo of my company today is my family crest in honor of the spirit of adventure and excellence instilled by my family in so many wonderful ways. I added “Delicacy “ to my initials to represent the variety of specialty items I offer and continue to seek beyond the glorious black truffles and white truffles that have built my company.


Meet the Owner

Diane Roederer is a savvy businesswoman with an impressive track record in a range of diverse industries. Born and raised in Strasbourg, France, Diane currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of Houston-based DR DELICACY, LLC, which she founded in 2014 to import and distribute fresh truffles from Spain and Italy. The company today ranks as Houston’s premier truffle company, selling its products online and in specialty stores and slated to expand into additional Texas markets. Diane’s career in the food industry is rooted in a 2013 truffle hunt in Spain. There, her life as an avid outdoorsperson and hunter sparked a new passion.

 Diane’s world travels and work history give her a unique business perspective. After traveling the world with her family as a young girl, she made the most of her college years by interning with supermarket giant SASM Societe Alsacienne de Supermarches, French insurance company AGF Assurances Generales de France and Italian truffle exporter Urbani Tartuffi. After graduating with a degree in international business and marketing, Diane partnered with a firm in 1991 as an international marketing consultant. While accompanying her father on a hunt at Indianhead Ranch in Del Rio, Texas, Diane was offered a position overseeing business and marketing operations for Indianhead Ranch. She most recently served as the ranch’s Vice President, helping it grow in just two decades to one of the top three exotic game ranches in the nation. In 2009, Diane founded Indianhead Expeditions to expand hunting destinations for Indianhead Ranch patrons and continues to serve as the company’s President. She is an honorary member of Les Dames d’Escoffier International and Chairman of the Safari Club International Foundation Marketing Committee.

  David Menendez

Product Manager


Originally from El Salvador, David had a lot in store for him when he first arrived in Houston. Over a span of 10 years, he was able to grow his culinary knowledge by working alongside the best French culinary industries in Texas. In May of 2016, David's hardworking asset and fine culinary skills landed him the role of Product Manager.  David says that the best part of his job is that it is unique. "So imagine that feeling I get when a new package arrives all the way from France. You open it and the scent of truffles floods in. Nothing beats the smile our customers get on their face when I deliver that fresh box of truffles to them!" Needless to say, he has been an incredible addition to the family.



 Jaklyn Soler 

Customer Relations


  Jaklyn was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She attended Texas A&M where she completed a major in Anthropology & a minor in Business. She began working alongside Diane in June of 2017, as her assistant manager. So far, Jaklyn has does wonders for our company, with her creativity and vision, she has provided us a new an innovating touch to the company. Working hard to keep things flowing, Jaklyn handles many responsibilities that require quick problem-solving. The best part about coming in to work each morning is that she feels encouraged to be proactive and reach outside of her designated role.



Sofia Casar

July 2017 Web Designer


Sofia is originally from Guadalajara, Mexico, but moved to the US 10 years ago. She is currently a senior at Memorial High School, where she was awarded a certificate in Web Mastering, during her sophomore year. Her plans upon graduating High School are to attend UH Main Campus, and begin her undergraduate degree in Nutrition. Sofia enjoyed developing this website. She was already familiarized with the web design material, such as HTML and CSS coding, and also, she enjoyed learning about our company's history and products along the way.



 Sherri Verret Segari

Event Coordinator


Sherri is the Owner/Operator of LuLu & Ruby Concepts specializing in culinary events, public relations, media relations, business consulting and graphics/web design.  Sherri has flourished in her career as Culinary Director in the production of some of the most comprehensive wine & food events in the South. Her experience isn’t limited to working with only local talents, as she has worked with chefs & teams from near and far; such as Former White House- Chef John Moeller, The Fashion Chef of New York- Charlotte Neuville, Executive Chef Antonio Albertsz- Walt Disney World Orlando, Chef Darren McGrady- former personal chef to Queen Elizabeth, Diana Princess of Wales, Princes William & Harry and Chef/Educator/Food Writer/Food Network Star- Emily Ellen. Sherri also works as a producer for Emmy award-winning Tanji Patton at Goodtaste.  Last but not least, Sherri is exceptionally proud to be a Brand Ambassador and special events coordinator for DR Delicacy.


Melissa Stevens prides herself on being the type of person you want to work with.  While she can easily move from the boardroom to street side on your behalf, it’s her passion for what she does that sets her apart (and keeps her up at night).  She’s one of those people that knows her reputation is only as good as the next win, and always strives to have your brand capture the hearts, minds, and headlines you deserve.
