During the Montanera season (October through February), these pigs double their weight by feasting on acorns and grass, resulting in the most exquisite and highly-regarded ham in the world. It is perfect for a tapas night and is presented in a skin pack for an elegant touch. The hand-carved slices are easy to separate and impress any lover of Iberico. This ham is cured for 48 months using traditional methods in La Alberca, Spain, a Natural Reserve recognized as a World Heritage site.
