Chestnut Mushroom
Chestnut mushrooms, also known as cremini mushrooms, are a variety of button mushrooms that are brown in color and slightly larger than white button mushrooms. They have a robust, earthy flavor that becomes more intense when cooked. The texture of chestnut mushrooms is meaty and slightly chewy.

Creamy Chestnut Mushroom Pasta
Ingredients:

8 oz chestnut mushrooms, cleaned and sliced

8 oz pasta (such as fettuccine or penne)

2 tbsp butter

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 cup heavy cream

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

Salt and black pepper to taste

Grated Parmesan cheese for serving
Instructions:

Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.

Add the sliced chestnut mushrooms and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until they release their moisture and start to brown.

Add the minced garlic and sauté for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Let it cook for a few minutes until slightly thickened.

Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley. Allow the cheese to melt and the flavors to meld.

Season the creamy mushroom sauce with salt and black pepper to taste.
