Fried Chicken Mushroom

The Fried Chicken Mushroom, also known as the "Chicken of the Woods," is a unique and sought-after wild mushroom. Its name comes from its meaty texture and flavor, resembling that of chicken. This mushroom has vibrant orange to yellow hues and offers a savory taste that's perfect for vegetarian and vegan dishes.

  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes

  • 1/4 cup diced red onion

  • Fresh cilantro leaves for garnish

  • Lime wedges for serving

For the Marinade:

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce or tamari (for a gluten-free option)

  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

  6. Top with sliced avocado, diced tomatoes, and diced red onion.

  7. Garnish with fresh cilantro leaves.

  8. Serve the Fried Chicken Mushroom Tacos with lime wedges for a zesty finish.
